PREGUNTAS Y RESPUESTAS: 24 DE JUNIO DE 2016

sairam,

"Sigue a tu corazón.

TRADUCCION NO OFICIAL

Sairam,

In a satsang held in the divine presence in California, USA, on 24 June 2016; a devotee asks the purpose of differences in Sai Organisation.

And here is what Swami said:

Question: Swami, everything You do has a purpose. The illusion in which some of our brothers and sisters in the Sai Organisation seem to think that there is a difference, what purpose is that serving?

Swami: In a class of students, everybody is taught the same lesson, but some learn it quickly because they work hard, they imbibe it and they grow. Whereas, some don't learn because they don't work hard, so they don't understand. When they don't understand, they don't ask, either; they just make out that they have understood everything because they are scared of revealing their ignorance in front of others – but, when the examination comes, they don't pass, do they? Because they haven't actually understood, although they thought they had. So, until examination time comes, nobody knows how much they have learned and what they have understood. Only when the exams come, will they understand that they have not learnt enough and must work harder.

This is just a small exam. For those who thought they have learned, but they actually haven't, this an opportunity to analyse and assess themselves and make the effort to truly learn what I had come to teach. What did I say? "Follow your heart. Don't follow the mind, don't follow the body. The body is a bubble on the water, the mind is a mad monkey. Follow the heart." For those who learn the lesson of following their hearts, there is no duality, there is no separation; everything is one. Those who are still following the dictates of mind – because the mind is full of duality, happy one day, sad another day; angry one day, peaceful another day – they swing like a pendulum. They have to learn that. There is no illusion involved; it is just an exam. Just as a teacher sets an exam so that the students may know how they are doing, I have created this situation so that people may understand how much they have learned.

Ultimately, the proof of your understanding is in the peace that you experience – there is no other proof. The proof of the food that you have eaten is the satisfaction of your own hunger. If you are satisfied, it means that what you are doing is fine. If there is something in your heart that keeps on tugging at you and keeps telling you, "No, I am not at peace. There is something wrong," it means you have still not done what you need to do. It is for each individual to assess. Unless such a situation arises, you will never know how good you are.

Everybody has to undertake their own journey. They cannot eat for you, you cannot eat for them; they cannot speak for you, you cannot speak for them. Similarly, they cannot experience for you and you cannot experience for them. Each one has to learn from his or her own experience. One must not be afraid of wanting to experience.
